March 2, 2026 - The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC) resumed the 180-day time limit for the planning phase under the Impact Assessment Act for the Peace River Nuclear Power Project. In addition to the request to resume the timeline, Energy Alberta submitted to IAAC a Revised Initial Project Description (IDP) for the Project.

January 19, 2026 - Nuclear Energy Engagement and Advisory Panel is holding a Town Hall.
Date and location of the public session.
- January 21, 2026, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Quality Hotel and Conference Centre, 9510 100 Street, Peace River
At each session, representatives from the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC) and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) will also host an information table. They’ll be available to talk about:
