County Chief Officers

Northern Sunrise County Protective Services employs two full time Fire Officers.

 Fire Chief David L. LeBlanc, ACP, SCO

Originally from Espanola, ON, Chief David LeBlanc began his career in Emergency Services as a volunteer firefighter in Canmore, AB, in 1995. He relocated to Peace River in 2004 to help establish the integrated Fire/EMS service for the Peace River Fire Department. In 2007, Chief LeBlanc joined the St. Isidore/Three Creeks Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter.

In 2010, Northern Sunrise County hired Chief LeBlanc to manage its newly formed Protective Services Department. With 28 years of firefighting experience, Chief LeBlanc continues to serve as Fire Chief for Northern Sunrise County Protective Services.

 Deputy Fire Chief Julien Bergeron, EMR

Originally from the St. Isidore area, Deputy Chief Bergeron began his firefighting career as a volunteer with the St. Isidore/Three Creeks Fire Department in 2006. He advanced through the ranks as a volunteer, first being promoted to Captain and then to Assistant Chief.

In 2013, Deputy Chief Bergeron was hired full-time by Northern Sunrise County when the organization recognized the need for additional full-time support in managing County Protective Services.

Deputy Chief Bergeron continues to serve Northern Sunrise County Protective Services, bringing 17 years of firefighting experience to the team.
