May 12 Council Meeting Highlights

News:

At the regular Council meeting held on May 12, 2026, Administration was directed to provide a letter to the Minister of Public Safety requesting a meeting to discuss the locations of the new regular and civilian members, as reported in the Police Funding Model.

 

Presentations:

Julien Bergeron with Northern Trek 2026 provided a presentation and a request for donations to the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

 

Bylaws:

Council gave second and third reading to Bylaw B482/26 Bylaw for the purpose of amending the Land Use Bylaw to redistrict approximately 37.18 acres from Rural Industrial District (RM) to Agricultural District (A) and 32.25 acres from A to RM, as presented.

 

Donations and Sponsorships

$2,500 to Northern Trek 2026, for the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
