Get Help Paying for High-Speed Internet

Northern Sunrise County offers an Internet Supplement Grant to help residents cover the cost of installing high-speed internet.  Eligible applicants may receive up to $750 toward installation costs.  This program supports improved internet access and helps residents stay connected.


About the Program:

  • Available to eligible Northern Sunrise County residents
  • Up to $750 towards cost of internet installation
  • Must achieve minimum speeds of: 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload
  • Applications are accepted year-round
  • Grants are subject to annual budget availability. Therefore, funding is first-come, first-served.

These requirements alight with the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC).  

 

Eligibility:

  • You must be a resident of Northern Sunrise County
  • Installing new internet equipment must improve your service and meet the minimum speed requirements.

Residents may apply once every three (3) years, provided the new installation demonstrates improved performance compared to the previous installation.

 

What You Need to Apply

If you have received the grant previously, you must also provide:

  • Proof of internet speed before and after the new installation to demonstrate improvement

Payment is issued after a complete application is reviewed by Administration.
