Direct Control - Data Centre District "DC-DC"

Purpose

The purpose of this District is to attract, retain, and support large-scale, high-tech data centres and related uses at appropriate locations within the County, while limiting negative impacts on communities and common resources.

 

Discretionary Uses

Alternative Energy, Other - Personal Use
Ancillary Building and/or Use
Bulk Fuel and Oil Storage
Data Centre, Large - Scale
Public Utility
Radiocommunication and Broadcasting Antenna System
Solar Power Plant, Personal Use
Storage Tank, Aboveground
Wind Power Plant, Commercial Use
Window Power Plant, Personal Use

 

Any other uses related to large data centre operations as deemed appropriate by Council.

 

Requirements and Site Provisions

1. All development proposals within this District shall be at the discretion and approval of Council upon evaluation of a completed development permit application.
2. Council shall consider the requirements of Section 5.7 in receiving, reviewing, and approving an application for a large-scale data centre.
