Proof of Voter Eligibility

Every person who attends a voting station in Northern Sunrise County who wishes to vote, must

  • be on the permanent electors register, and
  • provide one piece of identification issued by a Canadian government, whether federal, provincial, or local, or an agency of that government, that contains your photograph

 

OR

 

  • complete a statement in the prescribed form adding you to the permanent electors register, and
  • validate your identity and address by providing:
    • one piece of identification issued by a Canadian government, whether federal, provincial or local, or an agency of that government, that contains your photograph, name, and address of residence
    • provide two pieces of ID*, both containing your full name, and with one showing your current physical address
      • another elector may vouch for your address only, by completing the prescribed form provided at the voting station.
