Northern Sunrise County Organization Meeting Media Release

Elected and acclaimed Councillors were officially sworn in as members of Northern Sunrise County Council for the 2025 – 2029 term during the annual organizational meeting.

Council elected Ward 3 Councillor Claude Rodrigue as Reeve, and Ward 2 Councillor Jason Javos as Deputy Reeve at the Organizational meeting held on October 30, 2025.

“I am honoured to be chosen by my fellow Councillors to serve as Reeve”, says Claude Rodrigue, who is a newly elected Councillor. “I will work diligently and collaboratively with them on behalf of the residents we serve.”

County Council holds an organizational meeting annually in October to choose a Reeve, Deputy Reeve, and make various committee appointments.
