Jason Javos – Councillor - Ward 2 (Nampa Rural District)

Elected Official – October 2021

Jason Javos was born at Peace River hospital and was raised by parents John and Marie on the family farm south of Nampa, which was homesteaded in the 1930’s by his grandparents Paul and Magdelina Javos.

Jason attended school in Nampa and Peace River and after graduation, worked in the northern Alberta oil patch doing various trucking jobs, including moving rigs, oilfield services and logging, as well as continuing to help on the farm.

Jason married Samantha in 1994 and eventually moved to the farm, where they raised their children, Kyle, Matthew and Jessica.

Jason and Samantha continued to farm and in 1999, started their trucking business hauling logs from oilfield locations around northern Alberta. They eventually diversified their company to provide various general trucking, such as utility work, hot shot, and other contract service work, which he continues to do today.

Jason enjoys travelling and likes to be in the outdoors camping, quadding and snowmobiling with his wife.

Jason values his previous experience serving as board member and volunteering for the Nampa & District Agricultural Society, and looks forward to serving the community he grew up in.
