Volunteer Appreciation

National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to celebrate the vibrancy and impact of volunteerism in your community and across our country. Volunteer Week 2023 is April 16-22. It is a time to recognize volunteers and celebrate the power of volunteerism in our community.

The Nampa/Northern Sunrise County Volunteer Appreciation Awards recognize County and Village residents for their volunteer efforts and how they have contributed to the well-being of their community and fellow community members.

New this year, rather than recognizing only a handful of nominees, Nampa/Northern Sunrise County FCSS will showcase all of the nominees names in a list which will be shared on social media, within the newsletters, and in our local newspapers. Nominees will receive a special invitation to the 2023 Volunteer Appreciation Event and their names will be highlighted.

Who can be nominated?
Candidates who live in Northern Sunrise County or the Village of Nampa who meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Involved in an activity or activities that are voluntary in nature and are not part of the candidate’s occupation or job description.
  • Involved in an activity or activities that provide a benefit to the community and enhance life in the community.
  • Candidate must have been actively volunteering in 2022.
