PROPOSED BYLAW NO. B456/24

Pursuant to the Municipal Government Act, as outlined in Chapter M-26 of the Statutes of Alberta, notice is hereby given that the Council of Northern Sunrise County will hold a public hearing prior to the second reading of Bylaw No. 456/24 for an amendment to the Land Use Bylaw B275/15.

The proposed Bylaw B456/24 amends the Land Use Bylaw B275/15 with the following:

Proposed Amendment

  • Redistrict 1.78 acres from Agricultural District to Direct Control District in order to allow the operation of a temporary camp to house the staff responsible for the reforestation of the green zone east of TWP RD. 810 as part of West Fraser Mill’s Timber Management Regulation’s requirements.
  • This camp will be in operation for the 2024 planting season.

The Public Hearing is to be held on June 11, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. in the Council Chambers at the Northern Sunrise County office. Information regarding these amendments to the proposed bylaw may be viewed at the Northern Sunrise County office during regular work hours, Monday to Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or on the Northern Sunrise County website at www.northernsunrise.net.
