Northern Sunrise County and NAF Bursary Program
Northern Sunrise County has partnered with the Northwest Alberta Foundation (NAF) to provide an innovative program of bursaries to nurture local talent, foster a sense of belonging within the County’s borders and support all County and Village of Nampa residents in pursuing their academic dreams.
Our Program
Two scholarships of $2,500 per year for two-year college programs. Applicants must commit to a one-year term return to service in Northern Alberta.
Three scholarships of $1,000 per year for apprenticeship programs that are six weeks or longer. Applicants must commit to a one-year term return to service within Northern Alberta.

Northern Sunrise County has partnered with the Northern Alberta Development Council to provide an innovative program of bursaries to nurture local talent, foster a sense of belonging within the County’s borders and support all County and Village of Nampa residents in pursuing their academic dreams.
Our Program
- Two bursaries of $3,500 per year for two to four-year University programs. NADC will match the funds totaling $7000 per bursary.
Must be a resident of NSC or the Village of Nampa. Applicant must commit to a two -year term return of service within Northern Alberta.
