News:

At the regular Council meeting held on May 24, 2022, Administration was directed to:

  • Send a letter to respective organizations regarding the expedited removal of the ATCO abandoned gas line on Highway 744 (Judah Hill) in order to move Alberta Transportation’s construction project forward.

Council authorized the sale of County owned land legally described as Plan 8121420, Block 12, Lot 102, located in the hamlet of Little Buffalo, to 2033800 Alberta Ltd for the reserve bid price of $12.200.  Council directed Administration to write off $12,375.10 of the $24,575.10 owing on the account.

Policies:

  • Council approved the amendments to Policy 5.6 Employee Code of Conduct as presented.

Presentations:

  • Barry Caplan and Mark Preston with NeoLithica Ltd. provided a presentation regarding their proposed lithium production operations.

  • June 14 & 28, 2022 regular Council Meeting at 9:30 a.m. in the Northern Sunrise County Council Chamber.
