News:
At the regular Council meeting held on April 27, 2021 Administration was directed to:
- Send a thank you letter to Rendez-vous RV Park and East Side Storage for their donation of trees and shrubs for Cecil Thompson Park.
- Send a letter indicating the County’s support of the Oil Shipping Moratorium to the provincial MPs, MLAs, Federal Minister of Natural Resources, Federal Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade, and local area municipalities.
- Send a letter indicating the County’s support of the Enbridge Line 5 and Canadian Pipelines to provincial MPs, MLAs, Federal Minister of Natural Resources, Federal Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade, and local area municipalities.
- Send a letter indicating the County’s support of the Equalization Fairness: Bill C-263 to provincial MPs, MLAs, Federal Minister of Finance, and local area municipalities.
Council approved the Northern Sunrise County 2020 Audited Financial Statements. The financial statements will be made available on the County website.
Council proclaimed May 9-15, 2021 as International Economic Development Week in Northern Sunrise County.
Bylaws:
- Council gave third reading and passed Bylaw B392/21 for the purpose of redistricting approximately 3.67 acres within SW-3-84-20-W5M from Agricultural District (A) to Rural Industrial District (RM) as presented.
- Council gave third reading and passed Bylaw B393/21 Tax Rate Bylaw as presented.
- Council gave three readings and passed Bylaw B394/21 Property Tax Incentives Bylaw as presented.
