News:
At the regular Council meeting held on September 10, 2024, Administration was directed to:
- Request a meeting with the Minister of Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors at the Rural Municipalities of Alberta Fall Convention on November 4-7, 2024, in Edmonton, AB to discuss the perceived lack of awareness about the major northern economic corridors that haul resources out of the province.
Council appointed Jocelyn Tangen as the Returning Officer, and Allyssa Rygersberg as the Substitute Returning Officer for the Northern Sunrise County 2025 Municipal Election.
Council participated in the Rural Municipalities of Alberta survey on the impact of the Police Funding Model.
Presentations:
- Chris Johnson and Brandon Thoma with the Misery Mountain Ski Hill Board of Directors, provided an update on their operations.
