Northern Sunrise County is in the process of reviewing the Ward 5 & 6 boundaries. The proposed bylaw includes combining the current Ward 5 and 6 into one ward; Ward 5.
The Bylaw was given first reading at the June 11, 2024, regular Council meeting.

Section 231 of the Municipal Government Act allows for the public to submit petitions for a
vote on whether the proposed bylaw should be passed. Petitions against the proposed
bylaw must fulfill the requirements of the Municipal Government Act and be filed with the
Chief Administrative Officer of Northern Sunrise County no later than 4:30 p.m. on
December 2, 2024, in order to be considered valid.
