Rendez Vous RV Park Storage
Rendez Vous RV Park & Storage

Located just 15 minutes away from all the amenities Peace River has to offer, Rendez Vous is a big rig friendly park that offers 30 and 50 amp sites with water, electricity and sewer. All facilities are wheelchair accessible and handicap friendly with easy access, level and spacious back in and pull through sites. There are picnic tables in each site with fire pits in selected sites. They are pet friendly and offer complementary Wi-Fi throughout the park. Rendez Vous has clean and modern restrooms and showers, as well as a new laundry facility, featuring 12 washers and dryers. Their store includes; an ATM, camping essentials, refreshments, snacks, coffee, games for children, ice, propane, firewood sold by the wheelbarrow and even moving supplies!

Harmon Valley Park

Enjoy a true wilderness experience at Harmon Valley Park. This quiet and picturesque campground offers many activities for everyone, including hiking trails, geocaching, playground and horseshoe pits. This park is also a great place to pick wild blueberries and many other berries. Harmon Valley Campground features 17 unserviced campsites, free fire wood, pump water, pit toilets, picnic shelter and cook shack. $10/night

Winter months allow snow shoeing, cross country skiing and hiking under the canopy of bare trees and brilliant blue sky. There is nothing more satisfying than laying down a set of footprints or tracks in fresh new snow! Limited campfires available during the winter.

Twelve Foot Davis Gravesite
Twelve Foot Davis Gravesite

A breathtaking lookout over the Town of Peace River in honor of Henry Fuller Davis, a trader on the Peace River who literally struck gold on a 12 foot claim in the 1860s. The park features include pathways, landscaping, interpretive panels, picnic benches, geochaching and parking. Also located near by is the walking trail in Pat's Creek.

Sagitawa Lookout
Sagitawa Lookout

Located south of the Town of Peace River on Hwy 744 at the top of Judah Hill. Sagitawa is a Cree word meaning " Where the rivers meet". The Lookout has a spectacular view of the Town of Peace River and confluence of the Peace and Smoky Rivers. The Lookout is complete with a picnic area and historical information. The Lookout point is a great viewpoint and photography spot. Picnic area with tables and firepits with geocaching in the surrounding area.

Annual two-day event takes place in mid-July at the Harmon Valley Agricultural Grounds. This event attracts cowboys and cowgirls from all over North America.

Peace Valley Snow Riders Snowmobile Club
Peace Valley Snow Riders Snowmobile Club

The Baytex Wesley Creek Trail is a recently developed 30 km trail in the County. The staging area to access the trail is on Township Road 842. The Leddy Lake Trail and the Smith Mills Trail have also been developed by the Club and are located in the region. Winter is not a time to hibernate, take the time to get out and make some tracks.

The Nampa and District Museum features an Oil & Gas visual interactive display, an old school room, taxidermy collection, a historic boardwalk featuring the 4 different industries of that era, a gift shop and fossil collection.

St. Isidore Museum and Cultural Centre
St. Isidore Museum and Cultural Centre

The St. Isidore Museum showcases the artefacts of the founders of St. Isidore as well as the history of the youngest FrenchCanadian community in Western Canada. The St.Isidore Cultural Centre is home to the weavers a group of ladies that produce beautiful traditional woven goods. The Cultural Centre is the site of the Carnaval de St.Isidore a family friendly winter event which showcases Francophone art, food and activities.

Pat's Creek Interpretive Trails

Pat's Creek is a tributary of the Peace River. It is named after Patrick Wesley, a Métis man who lived in a cabin adjacent to the creek on his property. Pat's Creek Valley consist of glacial deposits left over from the last ice age about 12,000 years ago.

You can locate this walking trail through the Sunrise Gateway Business Park, turning onto  Fairground Road until you reach the end of the road.

St. Isidore Museum and Cultural Centre
Murphy's Flats

Hike, fish, canoe or enjoy a picnic with your family and friends at this newly-developed day-use area. Murphy's Flats runs along the Smoky River, which may offer a natural sandy or rocky beach depending on the flow and height of the river water. The day-use picnic area offers fire pits, tables, and free firewood.
