The Northern Sunrise County Community Services Department is a frontline partner with its residents and the communities that they serve. The Community Services Department provides cultural, recreational, and preventative programs through Family and Community Support Services (FCSS), that enhance the quality of life for those living in or visiting the County. The Community Services department takes pride in partnerships with surrounding Municipalities and various community organizations in providing programs and services that enhance the well being of residents and visitors alike. Whether you’re attending a community event or seeking information on service availability, our department will gladly assist you with your inquiries.

Family Community Support Services

Family and Community Support Services is a partnership between the Province, Municipalities and Métis Settlements that develops locally driven preventive social initiatives to enhance the well-being of individuals, families and communities. For more information, visit fcssaa.org

Within the County, Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) are offered from three offices located as follows:


Community Services
Cultural Centres, Halls & Agricultural Societies

Halls & Agricultural Societies aid in the growth & maintenance of the County and the surrounding communities. Participation in Agricultural Societies and Cultural Committees can increase your knowledge of the services & programs available within your County. They provide an opportunity to develop and adapt programs or services based on the needs of the community and its residents.

Community Halls & Cultural Centres are available for rent for a variety of functions including weddings, dances, educational opportunites, and meetings.
