April 8, 2025 Council Meeting

News:

 At the regular Council meeting held on April 8, 2025, Administration was directed to:

• Send a letter of support to the North Peace Housing Foundation, requesting an update on the status of the cleanup of burnt and vacant trailers in Cadotte Lake, AB.

 Council approved the 2025 Operations Budget and the 2025 Capital Budget.

 Council approved the 2025 Municipal Census questionnaire. The Municipal Census will commence on May 1, 2025.

 

Bylaws:

•  Council gave first and second reading to Bylaw B470/25 Tax Rate Bylaw for 2025.Third reading will be requested at the April 22, 2025 regular Council meeting.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Donations and Sponsorships:

 

• 50 promotional items to the Peace River Interagency Committee in support of the Aboriginal Youth Career Workshop

• April 22, & May 13, 2025, regular Council Meetings at 9:30 a.m. in the Northern Sunrise County Council Chamber.
• April 22, 2025, Public Hearing for the Land Use Bylaw B469/25 at 10:30 a.m.
