Rural Recreational District "RR"

Purpose

The purpose of this District is to permit development of intensive and extensive recreational facilities and uses.

Recreation, Extensive
Stripping, Filling, Excavation, and Grading

Discretionary Uses

Community Centre
Dwelling Unit, Caretaker's Residence
Marina
Public Use
Public Utility
Recreation, Intensive
Sign
Solar Collector
Wind Energy Conversion System, Small (Type A)

Wind Energy Conversion System, Small (Type B)

Parcel Size

As required by the Development Authority

Minimum Floor Area

As required by the Development Authority

Setbacks

Front

Minimum: At the discretion of the Development Authority

Rear

Minimum: At the discretion of the Development Authority

Side

Minimum: 10% of the width of the site or 3.04m (10ft), whichever is the lesser.

Removal of Vegetation

The extensive removal of trees and/or shrubs without a Development Permit is prohibited.

Off-Street Parking

As required by the Development Authority.

Landscaping

In addition to other provisions of this Bylaw, the Development Authority may require any discretionary use to be screened from view with a
vegetated buffer strip and/or screening of a visually pleasing nature, satisfactory to the Development Authority.
