David LeBlanc, EMT-P

David started in the emergency services industry as a volunteer firefighter in Canmore, Alberta from 1995 to 2001. During this time, he took his EMT and several fire courses. He then accepted a position with the city of Grande Prairie as a ground/air ambulance EMT. In order to further his training, he went back to school and graduated as an Advanced Care Paramedic. In October 2003 he was hired by the Town of Peace River to start the Town's new integrated fire/EMS service where he held the position of Deputy Chief. David then moved on to the private industry teaching safety courses to various companies. In January 2010 David was hired by Northern Sunrise County to fill the new position of Director of Protective Services/Regional Fire Chief. David oversees 3 fire halls housing a fleet of 9 fire apparatus and 45 volunteer fire fighters. Some of his other duties include Northern Sunrise County Health & Safety Committee member, Municipal Health & Safety Auditor, RCMP Community Advisory Committee Member, Safety Codes Officer for the Village of Nampa.
