News:
At the regular Council meeting held on April 9, 2019, Administration was directed to:
- Install safety signage at the detour for the McKinney Creek Bridge construction project.
- Enter into an agreement to establish the Peace Regional Subdivision and Development Appeal Board with the Mackenzie Municipal Services Agency.
- Enter into an agreement with the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities to become a volunteer district community partner.
- Send Agricultural Services Unit #32067- 2006 Case MXU 125 Tractor, Unit# 63046 – 2014 Highline Mower, and Unit# 63059 – 2015 Highline Mower, along with corresponding parts, Unit #63024 Canwest Tandem Flat Deck Trailer and Unit #32048 Bluesky Tandem Flat Deck Trailer to a Ritchie Bros. auction being held in Nampa on April 25, 2019, as per Policy 1.2 Disposal of Surplus Items.
- Recognize and support the National Day of Mourning on April 28, 2019 by lowering the flags to half-mast.
Council approved the 2019 to 2021 County operations budget and the 2019 to 2023 County capital budget as presented.
Sponsorships:
- $10,000 to the Peace River Aboriginal Interagency Committee for the 24th Annual Aboriginal Gathering and 16th Annual Peace River Pow Wow that will be held on June 1-2, 2019 in Northern Sunrise County, AB.
